To solve food security problem for everyone.

We are Team 20
When I learned about Challenge Nova Scotia competition from Melodie Joy, our instructor of Project Management course, I immediately asked if anyone would like to join my team, Alfredo, Prescott, and another classmate showed interest and we formed a team.

NSCC IT Programming Students
Though one teammate decided to leave on the day of the competition, we persisted. Despite the immense stress and uncertainty about whether we could win (we didn’t know there were 275 teams), we were the first team to be served by the food truck. And we won first place!

Mitacs Accelerate Award
Alfredo and Prescott dropped out, and another partner declined to join. Told I needed a PR or citizen to register a corporation, I wasn’t sure it was feasible. Still, I called, researched, and registered the corporation myself, then spent four months securing funding with a detailed proposal.
