Joyce (Xiaoxia) Ding
Founder, CoShop · Nova Scotia, Canada
Joyce believes food is more than sustenance — it’s culture, memory, and connection. As a lifelong foodie and gardener, she has spent years exploring cuisines, cooking at home, and understanding where ingredients come from. That curiosity led her from rooftop gardens to running an integrated farm for 8 years.
In Canada, Joyce founded the Nova Scotia Chinese Women+ Network — a community built on the same values she brings to CoShop: helping people connect, support one another, and build something stronger together than they could alone.
CoShop is where all of it comes together. A cooperative marketplace where local vendors thrive, shoppers find real food from real people, and the community grows a little closer every time someone buys local.
